"Will You, Won't You?" is the 59th episode of The Railway Series Adventure.

Summary

When The Great Railway Show comes to the Mainland, every engine on Sodor wonders who Sir Topham Hatt will take to the show.

Plot

Thomas 307
Thomas races Gordon to Vicarstown.

One autumn morning, Thomas is pulling Annie and Clarabel to Vicarstown Station to pick up Bertram Topham Hatt and his family from their summer vacation. Along the main line, he meets Gordon, and unbeknownst to the big engine, he challenges him to a race. Annie and Clarabel do their best to distract Thomas and slow him down, but the little blue tank engine doesn't listen and starts acting as a race announcer, covering all the action coming down the line.

Flying Scotsman 307
Thomas meets the Flying Scotsman.

At Vicarstown, Thomas, Annie and Clarabel wait for Bertram to arrive. Soon a large, green steam engine, with two tenders pulls into the station with regal Pullman coaches. Out steps Sir Topham Hatt, Jane, Bridget and Stephen, back from their Hawaiian vacation. After pleasantries are exchanged, Thomas gets a chance to meet the green engine, the Flying Scotsman, a famous engine from the Other Railway. Gordon scoffs at the engine as it turns out Scotsman is Gordon's brother. Flying Scotsman goes on to tell Thomas, Annie, Clarabel and Gordon that he will be competing in the Great Race event this year at The Great Railway Show, a railway exhibition and competition to see who's the fastest, strongest, and many other categories, much to Gordon's dismay. Thomas expresses great interest in going to the show and Flying Scotsman proclaims that with any luck that Thomas will end up going. Soon a whistle is heard and the might Flying Scotsman pulls out of the station and heads back to the Mainland.

307 03
The engines wonder if Bertram will take them to the railway show.
